Q1 results of Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Limited (TTML) for the Quarter ended June 30, 2010

 Subscriber base crosses 13.9 million in the quarter ended June 30, 2010, YoY growth of 74%
 Revenue at Rs 563 crores, YoY growth of 10 %
 Wireless services MoU registered a 44% growth over corresponding quarter of previous
year
 TTML won 3G Bid for Maharashtra and Goa circle (excluding Mumbai)

Mumbai, July 29, 2010: TATA Teleservices (Maharashtra) Limited today announced financial
results for the Quarter ended June 30, 2010.

Quarterly Highlights:

 TTML subscriber base stands at 13.9 mn – an increase of 74% over the corresponding
quarter of the previous year.

 Gross Minutes of usage of wireless services increased by 44% over the corresponding
quarter of the previous year.

 Revenues grew to Rs. 563 crores – an increase of 10% over the corresponding quarter of
the previous year.

 Profit After Tax for the quarter is Rs. 558 crores including profit from sale of
investment in Tower Subsidiary.

 TTML won 3G Bid for Maharashtra and Goa circle (excluding Mumbai) and is expected
to launch its services before the end of this year

 The Company registered a cash profit of Rs 698 crores.

 TTML is the only network across Mumbai and Maharashtra to be rated congestion
free in seven consecutive reports published by TRAI. At the beginning of the year,
TTML had also been rated in independent studies commissioned by TRAI as the No. 1
wireless operator in terms of overall customer satisfaction in its geography.

 Focus on wireless broadband service, Photon+ with VAS and data services increased data
revenues to 18.5% of total wireless revenues in Q1 of FY 10-11.
