Merlin Olsen Dead of Mesothelioma Related Symptoms at 69

Merlin Olsen was part of the legendary Los Angeles Rams’ Fearsome Foursome defense with Rosey Greier, Deacon Jones, and Lamar Lundy. Olsen went on to play for the Rams for 15 years. Once he retired, football was still in his daily life as he became a broadcaster for games including Rose Bowl and other pro games.
Olsen explanded his television presence becoming an actor on Litle House on the Prarie and Father Murphy television show.
Olsen reportedly died due to exposure to asbestos which caused the mesothelioma symptoms.
