New Microsoft Patch to Stop Google Hack Vulnerability Released

A code name was given to this latest attack and called it Operation Aurora.

The patch was released and updated on January 21, 2010. According to the release notes, the patch fixes vulnerabilities in IE6, IE7, and IE8 on supported editions of Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008 R2.

A debate has been brewing by some testers that the exploit was across all versions of the Internet Explorer browser but Microsoft has said the problem only occurs in IE6 browsers.
